I'm really looking forward to this fight. I think it's got all the makings of an absolute classic. I think Katsidis will start fast and aggressively (like he always does) but Mitchell will box him rather than trying to trade with him. I can see Mitchell stopping him somewhere between the sixth and the tenth.
The date will be interesting. I wonder if Sky will want Frank to do a ppv deal and put this as a double-header with Khan or Mayweather. It's a big enough event to be on its own though.
Thanks for sharing that Robert :good May looks to be a busy month :yep 1st - Mayweather-Mosely 8th - Mitchell-Katsidis 15th - Khan-Malignaggi / Campbell-Ortiz 22nd - Vazquez-Marquez IV / Perez-Mares
March, April and May are looking pretty stacked! I can't remember a couple of months like this, think from this weekend we've got 12 weeks straight of big fights :happy
erm...i mean...the next 3 months look great on paper but i won't be getting my hopes up after the year we had last year with injuries :deal
Katsidis... hmmm... I'm unconvinced by him. He lost clearly to Juan Diaz and got knocked out by the sharp punching, but not hammering, Casamayor. Mitchell obviously isn't the counter-puncher that Casamayor is, nor is he whirling dervish that Diaz is/was. But he probably hits harder than Diaz and he's fresher than Casamayor. He seems happy boxing and moving and, with all the kindness in the world, Katsidis defence is next to non-existent. It's a close fight, but I think Kevin can beat him despite some tough early rounds when Katsidis is at his most dangerous.
This would be ****ing catastrophic. I fly from London to Vegas on May 6th. Terrible, terrible timing. I got over missing Mayweather v Moslely by a week, but if I miss Kevin's title shot as well, I might cry....:|
