It'll happen, all the aforementioned prospects will have horrible opponents and it'll be free-to-air. If Clev needs a step up, Campillo is the man to go for. European title (has Clev got it at 175?) top ten fighter, not easy but should be bearable if you consider yourself a top ten operator. Will never happen, but that's the one to go for IMO.
Danny Mcintosh won last week Flea. Be another interim WBO title fight, though on Ringside FW said the next fight would be for the full world title. Not sure how he comes to that with Braemer's legal issues/injury etc
The o2 has an x factor concert on the 19 of march so any show on that date in London is likely to be at Wembley Arena
Agreed, or they'll name some good opponents that all end up pulling thigh muscles or breaking their hands in sparring. Just like the Liverpool show, where the only good fights were DeGale/Smith and Bellew/McKenzie. Macklin has gone obviously, but we don't need any more ''feather fisted never been stopped'' opponents for Cleverly, Brook, Gavin and the others. Get them in some proper fights, or just break them up and stage separate shows on SFN instead of having Prizefighter. That's a once or twice a year thing, not every six weeks.
to be fair I think Warren is more than prepared to have those 3 in title fights (Braehmer, Jones, Daws) but there difficult fights to make.
If it's gonna happen, against crap oppo, on free to air Frank would be better served sticking them all on individual bills in their home town wouldn't he? At least that way he trebles the gate receipts. The whole point of them all fighting on the same bill was to ppv it.
I wouldn't imagine Daws would be a hard fight to make. He's very inactive and doesn't sell tickets. Wouldn't take a big offer to get him in the ring. The others are hard fights to make granted, but if they can't be made come up with a contingency plan. Don't just have them fighting stiffs - Cleverly has had a great couple of years, would be a shame to **** away 2011 fighting bums waiting for Braehmer's legal problems to sort themselves out. As for Brook, a major test please. Shove him in a tough fight..... he's fought nobody to date and doesn't sell tickets. There's four major titles, not just the WBO. Take a lowball over, take a fight on short notice - if he's as good as he says he is get in there with Berto or throw some money at Zaveck. If a show is good enough Sky will back it IMO.
Daws is with Hennesey and he is a decent ticket seller. I don't think you can be critical of Cleverly for fighting duds. Since the Oakey fight his progress has been impressive and anyone he faced that wasn't paticularly good there was a reason for that fight. Brancalion, McIntosh and Lakatos were all orderd by the various governing bodies. Braehmers legal problems are not stopping the fight anyone. Agree Brook needs a good fight. There Berto fight has 0% chance of happening for many reasons. Zaveck or the WBA champ would be winnable fights.
I doubt it - every time Paulie has been on British TV he's been terrible, except v Cotto almost 6 years ago!
What a great shout !!!! :good , although Bute looked awesome against Brinkley , could De Gale repeat ??!! , good shout that
