Am I the only one who wants to see frampton face valdez? Why has frampton been paying sanctioning fees to the wbo if he has no intention of fighting for the title?

Would love to see that fight . I think that fight could still happen if he beats Warrington , I don't think Valdez would be to keen on fighting Frampton straight after his major injury anyway when he does come back.

I could see that fight in the spring in the States on a top rank show they seem to be splashing the cash at the moment !

Great styles mix Carl v Oscar. But the one Carl wants most is lsc. If Carl beats josh I hope he gets a chance to face Leo. It’s the one unresolved issue in his career.

Tbf he probably had every intention of fighting Valdez should the fight of been made.
There was also the possibilities of either Valdez not been ready in time because of the injury he picked up vs quigg and so Carl would of picked up the wbo until Valdez was ready to return or there was also a lot of rumours of Valdez moving up.
In each case it was the right thing to do at the time. Only with the benefit of hindsight do we know that it was a waste of time.
Saying that he will be bringing the interim in with him against Warrington and it will of give him a little more bargaining power when they agreed the split, although not much, I do agree.

Hes very keen to get that fight, you can tell he'd love that more than anything.
You have to wonder if Carl ain't a bit peeved over that whole situation.
Cyclone should of had a rematch in the contract.

It amuses me to see supposedly sensible posters citing joshs fitness as the reason he beats Carl!

What???!!! Like Scott Quigg wasn’t fit? Like kilo wasn’t fit? Like Leo s c wasn’t fit!! Come on guys.

Just look at the state of Luke Jackson. And he fought a cautious conservative fight. Nonito was badly busted up and he boxed cautiously too. This is what’s waiting for josh...and with josh do aggressive style...:(

Will this sell 20k tickets just before Christmas in a city were no fighters have an affiliation?

Moment Carl fights Warrington he will lose his WBO ranking.

I think it will mate. I was at the Quigg fight even though that was a proper grudge match that was basically 80 percent Irish fans. I think you will get a mix of both with Leeds only being up the road !

I can imagine being a bit of trouble with the divs from Leeds in Manchester !!

I think it will as i would expect 5000-7000 to teavel from Northern Uteland and same from Yorkshire. Then fans from elsewhere and other fighters on the bill should see it sold out.

I think Warringtons tactics will be like they were in the Selby fight to keep hands high and very tight around his face and look to get Carl to iniatiate attacks amd respond. The problem he will face is Carl will still be in the pocket and has surgical precision so when Warrington counters Carl he will get countered back clean as his guard will suddenly be open. The other thing is Carls body punching is improving with working with Jamie Moore who was a specialist when it came to body punching. When Josh holds the high guard, Carl will have lovely opportunities to sink the shots in downstairs. I think this will be the single biggest reason for Carl to win.

Correct! Joshs problem is that he is an attacking fighter with no power. ALL his fights are like the Selby fight. He has no option. He is not fitter or tougher or better than lsc... or even Quigg and kiko either. He is good, sure. Carl will have problems with him, sure. But after 4-5 rounds Carl’s better quality shots will start to take a toll and Carl will start to pull away from josh on the cards.

Absolutely. I think Carls fitness issues are becoming less of an issue under Jamie Moore, he seems fitter than ever.

I'll be surprised if he uses those tactics moog. Josh has reach advantage, lsc has set the blueprint, why would Josh try anything different.

He doesn't need to be fitter, tougher or better than lsc cos he beat Carl so that doesn't make that much sense. Josh beat kiko so that doesnt hold any water and although he hasn't fought quigg, they've spard and he struggled with Josh but that's sparin so you can't take too much away from that.
Josh has enough power to serve him well. People used to say the same about calzaghe and he did ok.
