Probably shade the first to Perez. Her favored combo is a rather sloppy chopping 1-2 but at least she's going down the middle and snapping Mendez's head back with it pretty consistently, while Mendez counters with fat hooks or ducks in vain attempts to jab the body (Perez blocking with her elbows squeezed together & tucked low as she bores her way in)

Of course with my luck tonight watch me think Perez takes every round only for the judges to give it to Mendez.

The porky bespectacled nerd doing the interviews calls Divina Perez over for a face to face with Mendez, and says "well you're now 1 and 1..." and sets the stage for the ladies to all but mutually agree to verbal terms on a rubber match. They both seem game. The crowd is satiated by this act of diplomacy, somewhat... (the nerd had to chastise them with "tranquilo!" a few times before conducting the interview)

 

Main event, where is everybody?!

"Titan" Rodríguez is a 22 year old, 16-0 (11) super bantam prospect. He's taking on a fellow Mexican on a card that has so far delivered the goods. WTF else are you doing on this forum that is worthier of your attention right now?!

First impression, Potro Estrada is very tall. Like, he towers over Titan by at least 3 inches.. Surprising, as he is the one that has climbed up from super fly. He must have looked absolutely massive in the ring next to natural 115lbers.

 

Round 1

Rodríguez is running to and fro, himself a bit surprised by Estrada's height and length, wary of the long prodding jab. Rodríguez keeps his forearms glued and raised over his chest & face to block the jab as he scurries laterally to his left and right, observing Estrada's patterns before darting in for pot shot body punches in short bursts, single blows or 2-pieces. Estrada is unable to get through Rodríguez's guard but keeps poking with the jab from long range, and is able to perform a squat to deliver an impressively accurate right hand lead beneath the elbows on Rodríguez's trunk line.
