What are old vs current fights that'd be absolute tear ups? A few I thought of... Basilio vs Rios @ 147 Layne vs Adamek @ heavy LaMotta vs Chavez Jr @ 160 Tiger vs Cloud @ 175 Marciano vs Arreola
I'm not looking for "fair" match ups, I'm looking for old vs modern fights that'd be wars/shootouts. It can be a modern vs an overly matched fighter of old, too. Maidana vs Saxton @ 147 would be another give and take war.
Or a fix, with Maidana doing nothing for 15 Saxton could outbox him anyway. Gil Turner Vs Antonio Margarito - Middleweight Gaspar Ortega Vs Provodnikov - Welterweight Florentino Fernandez Vs Brandon Rios - Middleweight Sam Langford Vs Marco Huck - Cruiserweight Eduardo Lausse Vs Gennady Golovkin - Middleweight Paul Fuji Vs Michael Katsidis - Light welter Taking them on what they could make for ten rounders on the day. Exciting format that. Would be great to see Floyd try and fend off Paret as Federico Thompson did too :yep
Bazooka Limon vs Orlando salido Limon by tko after severe clubbing Tony ayala vs Gennady Golovkin Golovkin kos ayala brutally Aaron Pryor vs Mike Alvarado Pryor by tko Stanley Ketchel vs Jc Chavez jr Ketchel ud
Sam Langford v Huck is the cruelest thing i've seen anyone suggest on this forum. I hope you mean under modern rules.
Lamotta would destroy Chavez Jr, don't make mismatches please. This guy was on par with the best of all time.
I believe L.F.Thompson already was past-prime by the time he met Paret. How faded was Thompson against LMR compared to Paret fight? Have you seen L.F.Thompson-Ortega? On a side note, even though I just watched Griffith-Ortega 2, I refuse to believe that Ortega can be stopped.
......... Says the sadist Lausse vs Golovkin would be too much awesomeness to contain undoubtedly resulting in a big bang and spawning another dimension to our multiverse. It would single handedly provide the scientific community with evidence verifying string theory. lol beat me to it, guy just got worked over by a 43 year old Firat Arslan. Talk about cruel, 20 rounds with 5oz gloves and Chavez probably dies. Afterwards Stanley pulls out his revolver and puts a few rounds into his corpse then tries to find the smoothest whisky in town to wash down the satisfaction.
