Was a little skeptical of dawson at first, but....

now I think he deserves to be officially in the top 10 p4p. I'm not over rating him either. I'll let his performance speak for itself.
While he had a life and death struggle w/ glen johnson( at 175 lbs
who hasn't at the top level) he won the fight. He also has a "W" over
a fighter who has a good shot at being the cruiserweight champion
very soon. And, finally he just embarrased the consensus #2 or 3 best
lightheavy in the world, and he's only 26 w/ average experience. Floyd
went a little far w/ #1, but i'll give chad mijares spot. Hell christian is way over rated anyway.
I say chad is #8 on the p4p list.

    Anyone?

    Pac
    JMM
    Calzaghe
    Hopkins
    Izzy Vaz
    Mijares
    Margarito
    Rafa Marquez

Then any one of these guys can get in:

    Dawson
    Calderon
    Cotto
    Williams

A little too soon for top 10, another big win and he's in, but no way right now. You don't nearly lose, could have lost, to Johnson then beat Tarver and make it to top 10. No way, need more from Dawson. I'd put P-Will up there before Dawson at this point (neither make my list though).

I'll admit that mijares is good but p4p? he beat an old
belt holder. It's not like he beat montiel, because he can't!

I haven't done one of these in a while, but I'd say he's probably 10-12 for me right now.

He needs one more clear win for me to vault into the top ten, preferably over someone younger. Or Calzaghe, who probably won't fight him.

    Understandable.

Maybe Mijares should be in that second group due to a lack of accomplishments but he is still nasty and will prove it this weekend.

My top five of Pac, JMM, Calz, B-Hop and Izzy are in stone.

The next 7 could be put in just about any order.

    Bad Chad is the man.

Oh, and I dont hold anything against him for fighting such a close fight with Glen Johnson b/c Glen beats Tarver and Woods at this point.

Personally I had Chad winning 6 of the first 7 rounds and he won 2 more thereafter.

Close fight but Chad has proven himself better than everyone he has fought.

you tell it. dawson may have just run out of step up fights at 175.
he could join the crowd at 168. i'm sure he could make the weight.
otherwise what? nard and joe won't fight him for sure.

Hopkins? I've just looked back and noticed you were the thread starter too. You must have a really selective memory if you forgot about him mate... It's the fight I'm hoping to see most at 175, I can't see Calzaghe facing him or him giving Hopkins a re match.
Edit: Just noticed your last post, what makes you think for sure Hopkins won't fight him? I think he may if he can't get the Calzaghe Jones winner, depends maybe if he can get motivated to prove himself again.
