    Not terribly slow for his size. And again, this is his final fight. Athletically, he doesn't seem to have been the bumbling oaf he is made out to be.

    I wasn’t aware Louis took part in any rights protests or aired his personal views to any great extent about the treatment of blacks in the 30s and 40s? I thought he was just told to keep his head down, keep out of controversy and just let his boxing do talking? Which is probably why the far more outspoken Johnson never warmed to Louis.
