The picture was not really clear on the overhead right, but I thought Adama was going down from a jab and the right may have been a glancing punch. Adama legs became unsteady onwards. How did you see it?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzXR7SB5oHw Watching the fight live and watching it again showed off some of Golovkins movement/defence, to be honest its severely under rated and his chin is unbelievable He takes a big shot and his head doesnt even move! time will tell when hes hit by someone like Martinez or any of the SMW's but hell its still impressive Hopefully this is what well see April - Andy Lee June - Sergio Mora December - Sergio Martinez - WBC/WBA Unification
The replays showed it was clearly a jab that knocked him down. To me it looked like the right was at the most glancing, or may not have touched Adama at all, because he was already well on his way to the canvas. Thing of beauty, actually.
Good stuff. I think there's a good chance we see Golovkin vs Geale in GGG's 2nd fight on HBO this year. Maybe Mike Perez vs Bryant Jennings on the same card because of the promoters involved.
Doubt it, Geale has a brighter future if he avoids GGG again Geale is fighting Garth Wood this month so theres an April fight out of the question. Then you have a Sturm rematch on the way for the IBF belt Sturm picked up against Barker . . .. if Geale loses that fight depending on how close it is we may see a rubber match late this year or early next year and of course if Geale comes through unscathed then theres a fight with Sam Soliman in Oz by which time I expect Golovkin to move up to SMW leaving the WBA title vacant for Martin Murray Wood, Sturm, Soliman, Murray (im calling it) in short we are never going to see Geale fight Golovkin.
Golovkin's a scary dude. I swear, one of those right hand knockdowns reminded me of that video game Double Dragon from back in the day. He made contact and Adama just flew backwards, LOL.
I would have given Adama respect for doing pretty well against GGG, he was putting up a good fight but then he kept spitting out his gumshield (3 times if i remember correctly, twice in the same round)
Can you imagine this guy was competitive for 12 rounds against Geale? Just shows how far above the rest of the division Golovkin actually is.
He fought Geale too? damn should have known that Never bothered to look up his resume tbh Has losses to Dyah Davis (Down twice in the 1st) , Don George (down in the 7th) and of course the decision loss to Daniel Geale . . . was close on one the judges scorecards in each fight. So all in all not a completely as bad as fighter as I thought he was despite not having any big wins
