He wasn't a monster slugger like Marciano, Foreman, Shavers and others but do you think he still had some seldom discussed hidden power?

Yeah, he was a bit. Unique Ko's of Foreman and Bonavena attest to that. He could definitely hit.

He wasn`t a power puncher,it was his volume of punches/speed,but he hadn`t that much power.

I think with Ali his punches were very fast and accurate, people did not see them coming and the punch you don't see does more damage.

Speed is Power...Ali had very fast hands, so he could really string ya when he wanted to.

Speed is power? Not necessarily.Look at Calzaghe,he wasn`t like Ali i admit but he had speed without power.

To an extent, yes. In particular, the way he sat down on his punches during his comeback show not just the pop that comes with speed and accuracy, but actual force in the transfer of his body weight, especially backing up the likes of Frazier at times with short, hard, straight punches.

Yes, but he did deserve it. Ali was a mover, it is impossible for him to get set and hit you with big shots and therefore no one thought he had the power. Remember his motto was jab and move, stick and move. Besides the casual observe cannot see or appreciate the strength of Ali's punches, they do not understand that a punch that cuts a guy or bloodies his nose, or bust his lip, or snaps his head back hurts like hell. a jab is a punch in the face, and a good jab can shake you up just as bad.

Marciano was not a slugger he was a swarmer. He got infront of you and threw punches like bat ****, and when you got tired he'd knock you out.
