Now imagine what would do Muhammad Ali.

 

Also Joe Savage is a legend in bareckucle boxing (41-0) and pub brawls in Ireland and look what time he lasted against Bert Cooper.In that time people like the thread starter thinked it would be competitive and legit match.It ovbiously wasn't.

LOL, McLean was KO'd 3 times, once even by a 175 pounder Waldron.

Yeah I read it back in '05, I at first felt the same as you felt, but then was disappointed afterward finding that a lot of it was Bull****, Lenny got knocked out 3 times, once by a light heavy-weight but conveniently leaves it out of his book, still boasting he never lost a fight.

 

In are bare knuckle brawl Lenny would decapitate Ali. It would be over in 20 minutes.

There are certain levels in boxing and combat sport, but unfortunately the late Lenny Mclean is not on that level.

 

Ali was a boxer.
In a non boxing match he would get his ass kicked, being an outside fighter only makes it worse.

 

If an 80kg average at best Waldron could put McLean unconscious, Him and Ali wouldn't be so one sided.

 

Ali was a pretty dirty fighter too so maybe I should reconsider things a bit.

Oh well, we will never know.

 

Why would a professional boxer want to get involved in bare knuckle fighting? Risk breaking his hands and jeopardising his career?
