I honestly think it was. Like he was trying to get sympathy from pac. And Pac is too damn nice to reject. I think he was also scared to hit pac hard because it would just **** pac off.

It's like a "Hey man, we cool!" thing. Somehow Shane comes out a winner in all of this.

Pac should have hit him in the mouth like floyd did, in sparring it's ok not a world title fight, remember when khan tried to touch gloves with maidana, maidana tried to take his head off

This did cross my mind too. Just doing it to keep Pac all friendly because Pac don't have that dog in him like Mayweather did when he punched Shane right in his mouth. You have to make Pac angry to bring the best out of him I believe and that's what happened with the knock down in the 10th Pac came out blazing after that.

I was seriously shocked when Shane Mosley rose from a KNOCKDOWN, to extend his glove for a tap. From a knockdown!? That was very obviously a survival tactic, because he knows its not in Pacquiao's nature to ignore an extended glove and try to land on you, so it bought him a little time and space, and stubbed out the momentum a little. As much as I love Manny, I wish he'd just have gone for the finish there and then, **** the glove-tap. Glove taps are only OK where appropriate, a glove-tap after a knockdown is totally inappropriate because the guy getting up should be angry and determined to fire back, and the guy in the neutral corner should be ready to land shots the second the referee allows him to, in order to get another KD or a stoppage.

Yet another pathetic, miserable, dog**** aspect of Shameful Shane Clottey's performance.

This...Im a Pacfan but he was seriously irritating me by obliging every single time. Even after the fake kd they tapped gloves. I was like wtf?? I feel sorry for Pac's next opponent though coz I think all that booing seriously pissed Pac off. Ive never seen a guy who won every round in a fight and sounded so apologetic during the postfight presser.

I wouldn't call what Shane was doing shameful, I mean he was trying to get an edge. Just like mind games really and it worked to some extent. His performance was shameful but this tactic was not. You analyse your opponent and try and exploit any weakness and this obviously works with Pac.

I noticed when Khan tried to do the same thing to Maidana trying to touch gloves all the time Maidana swung for him. It's just an edge he tried to gain.

Shane Mosley was terrified. He knew he couldn't do anything to Pac. He had no confidence at all, and the glove tapping was him trying to keep things cool...

Yep definitely, not shameful IMO though. They spotted a weakness in Pacquiao and tried to exploit it.

Mosley should have exploited it more, Pac cant refuse a glove touch so everytime he senses Pac is about to hit him, he should have just put his hand out there

I recall Freddy Roach saying Pacquiao needed to find his killer instinct again to KO Shane prefight. Guess he was right...
