Heads up, I'm a big Berto fan. I also thought that he lost the fight when I watched it the first time. After the second viewing, I wasn't so sure, it wasn't a robbery though. Either way, I remember when I saw him take off his shirt, and I thought, "Damn, it's the Big Berto, not the Fit Berto", and I knew he was in for a long night because his speed and reflexes aren't as good when he weighs as much as he did in this fight. In this fight he weighed 160 and looked really clunky at times. He was really fit in the Forbes fight (I believe he weighed less than 150 on fight night), and that was the perfect shape that I felt he should be in at this weight because his short arms put him at a disadvantage when he lacks stamina and speed. Anyway, did anyone else think his weight was a big issue in how the fight played out, or was it just Andre's inexperience and flaws?
naww no weight issues at all. Berto is a monster and gots some nuts to fight either Mosley or Cotto!!! can he loses both of these fights....YEAH. both isnt this what we want?? you guys talking about he needs a couple of more fights for the elite....HES GOT A BELT!!! dont we want guys to take risks??? I give Berto big ups for fighting Cotto in june if it happenes
you don't need balls to call out mosley or cotto - those are the biggest paying fights. you need balls to call out williams or margarito cus those are the high risk low rewards types of fights. i give him proprs for fighting collazo tho.
