Ward fans will say it was OK other people know it wasn't same ol same ol. Wards retired or coming back and up to Cruiserweight. It will be the Cruiserweights problem with headbutts and low blows now.

Argument about what? All you Kovalev fans do is cry about something that cannot be changed. You guys act like new boxing fans with your unreasonable amount of crying :llorona::llorona::llorona:

There is nothing to argue, Kovalev got ****ed up and KO.

My 2nd favorite fighter when I was younger was Fernando Vargas, and I was pissed that Trinidad low blowed him (real ****ing low blows from one of the hardest P4P punchers of the 90's), and yet I can accept he beat Vargas and appreciate who he was and how he fought. This sport isn't for snowflake pussies. Some fighters are clean and text book, others are dirty rough housers, others are highly skilled who will do whatever necessary to win, and other fighters fold when they can't bully their opponents.

All that talking, just to admit it was a low blow.

It was low. And the fight was called off due to Kovas reaction to a low blow.

For the question posed by this thread, thats all there is to it. Pretty simple.

Your paragraphs of trying to justify, rationalize, and downplay it, is for a different discussion.

If Kov thought it was happening time after time, why not throw his own?

Blatant piece of cheating and had it been anywhere other than the states the referee would have offered a five minute time out. However, he is not called loaded dice Ward for nothing, there is a reason why this cheat demanded home advantage and four officials from his home country.

Those of us who really understand the sport also know that Kovalev threw way more punches in the second fight, massively upping his work rate in response to the awful judging of a first fight which he won clearly. Corruption cost him both fights, end of.

This is not to downplay the stupidity of Kovalev's team. What they should have done was insisted on fighting in Russia (or at least a neutral location) with four Russian (or at least neutral) officials and a 50/50 purse split. Instead, greed got the better of them and their fighter got shafted. It was so obvious it was going to happen that I can't really feel sorry for them.

As for the question in the OP, its just more sissy ass crying from a disgruntled Kovalev fan and/or Ward hater. Its a stupid thread made with no other reason than to make some Kovalev fanboy's ass hurt less.

The only people justifying anything in this thread are those who are excusing Kovalev's pathetic performance against Andre Ward, using those belt lines shots to cry bloody murder.

Ward beat the living snot out of Kovalev. He executed a perfect game plan and made the bully fold in half.

I've seen real nut shots thrown by power punchers, like Tito uppercutting Vargas directly on the testicles multiple times.

Kovalev was outboxed, and outbullied, and this thread is the aftermath of that fight, a bunch of whiny cry babies acting like they've never seen beltline shots, occasional low blows or rough house tactics.

So what if Ward's last punch as a pro was a questionable low blow? He still won, he still retired undefeated, he still retired a champion, still retired P4P #1, he still is a Gold medalist, and retired the best light HW of his era.

Anyone who is still crying about that fight needs to get tje **** over it and move on.

People say he didn't because he would've got disqualified and I agree, he was B side badly. Part of me thinks he wanted the fight/situation out of the way and just gave up coupled with the low blows !
