Is that actually true? I find that shocking, considering :

    A) He was getting thrashed.
    B) It was in TEXAS!

HBO had him winning the first two rounds, I dont think Andy was ahead on the officials score cards, I think HBO had him winning though

Up 4-2 on all the judges' cards. A big surprise given the names involved, but the fact that Chavez was inactive in several rounds and that US judges generally ignore bodywork makes it somewhat understandable.

I had it 3-3 after 6. It was a close fight. Jr was doing more damage, Lee was landing more. Was surprised the judges had it the way they did given where it was, but their cards were fair.

One thing is clear. Top Rank need to be careful who they put Jr in with. Get him in there was a good boxer with quick feet and good stamina and he's in trouble.

I would be surprised if he was. Chavez was getting to him once he got past the jab.

I would like to see Chavez against Andre Ward. If Chavez could campaign at SMW, just imagine the tough inside fight

Yeah, but the tide of the fight had completely turned several rounds before. Jr was getting more and more aggressive and closer and closer. By the time of the stoppage, you could see it was already a foregone conclusion.

Slow start for Chavez. Lee was effective using the jab to keep Chavez away but from 3rd round on Chavez was getting in and Lee forgot how to use the jab. I had Chavez ahead by 4-2 before the tko.

I still havent seen the first round but i had it 3-2 from rounds 2-6 in favour of lee. i gave JCC rounds 4 and 6 i thought lee was landing alot! compubox had it pretty even punch wise but i think they counted too many jabs. Lee was holding his right arm out ALOT as a measuring guide and to hold off JCC. Not really a jab but illegal all the same.

Also JCC was a beast but lee didnt have enough power to hurt him. If he come up against a boxer with power (possibly Martinez) he will be in trouble because the bully tactic wont work.

He definitely showed he was better than most people thought though! including me.

Yes and Lee should have listen to Emanuel Steward. He should have outbox Chavez, move and throw jabs instead of brawling with Chavez.
