I have seen people say Joshua was past his prime and it wasnt the real Joshua in there is this true

Would a prime version have beaten Dubois

No he was supposed to be the best version
Dubois is all wrong for him. But AJ is also all wrong for Dubois and I can see it going both directions

Joshua was not past prime, Dubois is simply better, Joshua went down after the first punch he took and if he was able to beat Dubois then he would have done so, considering the experience he has, he looked completely powerless...

Yes he was but Wilder was still in his prime when he was exposed

Fury was also his best shape ever vs usyk

    Past prime? Obviously.
    Shot? No, probably not.

He's not the strongest mentally and looks like he hasn't processed his losses properly...

Dubois probably isn't quite prime yet either, though, so prime for prime isn't necessarily clear... But it isn't always anyway.

It'd be interesting to see what, if anything, they do differently if they do rematch it... and what effect it has (if any) on the outcome

No way was Fury in his best shape ever against Usyk.

The Klitschko fight was definitely his peak. He started to technically decline after that.

He wasn't past his prime, he just didn't train with the motivation and hunger he needed to defeat someone like Dubois.

AJ at his best beats Dubois, but AJ unmotivated doesn't.

He believed the hype that he was on the best run in the division, that he'd now be a favourite over Usyk, all the stuff his fans were peddling, not realising they were damaging his chances of getting back to the top.

Every single person who told him he was on the form of his life contributed to the lax attitude he had.

It was like Rocky in Rocky 3. I told people at the time but they wouldn't listen.

I don't think he has really passed his prime that much physically but I think mentally he may have become civilised and knows he's made enough money to have a great life after boxing and wants to keep his brain and health healthy.

I also felt that in the Dubois fight - AJ somewhat underestimated Dubois and expected Dubois to show him respect rather than push AJ aggressively and go for the KO.
