Was Antonio Margarito innocent?

All he admitted to was all he did. He accidently put a used pad into the wrap instead of a new one. He readily admitted that fact he'd committed a technical offense & NOT made an attempt to load the gloves. Like someone pointed out earlier that they'd tried putting plaster into to see if it worked. The fighter testing it started punching a heavy bag. He had to quit his knuckles were damaged & he'd not punched hard at all. He claimed the idea was a farce it would do damage to the guy with plastered knuckles not the recipient

 

You say mayweather doesn't exist,yet 95%of your posts are hating him and the rest are defending the cheat and hating canelo

 

I think I'll post that PC we had where you apologized for attacking Margarito & you really thought he was innocent. Youre just hoping to score points with Pimp C aintcha lol That's what they call Two faced isn't it lol

 

I alrdy put the nail in this coffin. Margarito cheated. It is not known if Antonio himself knew his trainer was using foreign substances - which were tested to be "plaster like" - in his handwraps. The trainer confessed his actions and said Margs was innocent. Margs echoed those same sentiments.

What IS known is that following the Mosley fight Margs never had a stoppage win again. His power was never the same. Going INTO the Mosley fight Margarito was 12-2 w/ 10 KO/TKO wins against Cotto, Cintron, among others. Both Cotto and Cintron were undefeated going into their Margs fights.

So Margs blasts through Cotto and is the favorite against over-the-hill Mosley and he got walloped. Afterward Margs was suspended for a year, came back and went the distance w a journeyman, lost to Pacman, and never had a good fight again...always going the distance against journeymen (one fight was a TD d/t cuts).

Margs def cheated beyond the Mosley fight.

 

Yeah, but Mosely did not pop dirty for the Margarito fight. So, really nothing to brush aside.
All I have to say is, they found trace amounts of substance consistant with plastet of Paris. Sure, what was found was very small, but the rule states that the only thing that can be used is tape and gauze, kinda makes one question where that substance came from. Old wraps accidentally used instead of new wraps? Seems strange that a 40 year trainer that had wrapped countless hands to that point, made a mistake like that. Margo, literally arms length away did not notice used wraps? That for me is cause for pause. Nobody has explained how exactly the old wraps were used. What, all they packed was old wraps? Your at a boxing event with all kinds of boxers and other trainers. You telling me they couldn't get some new wraps from another trainer in the building?

 

I have went back and forward I don't deny it
I was actually a big fan at a time, so wanted to believe

However, after looking into it more, I am convinced he was rotten

So final verdict........

The farce made a career calling out smaller opponents, loads up his gloves, and still loses.

 

In my 47 years (40 years watching boxing) i've never seen anyone do what Margarito did to Sebastain Lujan. Lujan's ear was pretty much falling off and split in 2. It looked like two ears on the same side. Everytime Marg would hit that side of his head, you could witness the ear splitting further and further apart. I remember thinking at the time, something seemed really odd, an Ear being torn in two?
This was 4 years before the alledged wraps scandle. However since that fight, Marg fought Cintron x2, who claimed Marg was hitting harder in the 3rd round forward in both fights. Just enough time for the plaster to harden.

If you claim his innocents as to why Paul Williams and Clottey made it to the 12th without being hurt espeically with Marg throwing 1600+ in the Clottey fight, I cant answer that. These 2 fights before the Mosely fight, mind you.

Regardless of what I belive, there was evidence enough as stated by the California State Athletic Committee to revoke Margarito and Capetillo's license for a year. Too many ???'s IMO.

 

But there was NO foreign substance found in the pads. What they call " foreign substances" were trace elements of calcium & Sulphur , in much larger amounts, are indeed ingredients of plaster but they are also ingredients of your's & my own SWEAT!!!!!
they had to use microscopic analysis to even discover that.. They tried but couldn't PROVE a damn thing to indict him on so they just held a kangaroo court & more or less said we think hes guilty so we'll take away his licence anyway !! Is That US Justice !!!!!!!!!

 

Can you prove Cintron said that about Margarito.? That's strange because when I asked him how hard Margarito hit after the second fight he said " He doesn't have a very hard powerful punch it was more the continuous amount of punches he threw that wore me down he was just too strong". There was NO evidence whatsoever to revoke his license
just SUSPICION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what a kangaroo court is

Really youd be more successful if you'd asked the CSAC Insp Louhis how he sat & watched Margaritos hands taped & missed seeing the used pads put in. passed & signed off on them but then Richardson started his performance claiming plaster block's ROFL!!
Only then did he claim to see " white substance " smeared on the pad. After all thats all he was there for wasn't it HUH?????????? Not one other person claimed to see either
