was anybody dissapointed with cotto/mosley?

I think it was one of the best "elite" fights I had seen in a long time. They maintain a high level of work throughout most of the fight and they were both ripping each other all night. I personally didn't think it would be as exciting as it was. But, it's all i the eyes of the beholder.

 

I thought it was great. I loved all the wrestling/mauling they were doing, and a lot of clean punches were landing. It stayed pretty even the whole way through, too, so it maintained excitment.

Once Mosely started bouncing on his toes I believe round six the fight got less dramatic, had he continued to bring it like he did the first 5 or 6
he would have been KTFO. Then Cotto went counterpuncher in round 9 and that took the remaining wind out of our sails. Still over all it was a good scrap, and for 6 rounds this fight was on its way to greatness.

 

What makes you say that? He wasn't hurt and has never been KO'd. I think if anyone was gonna get knocked out in this fight it would have been Cotto, Shane had him going, then the ref stopped the fight to wipe the canvas.

 

Shane did not have him going - his legs weren't buckled. I've seen him in worse trouble.

I enjoyed the fight a lot, but I wanted a more dramatic ending.

Also, nobody's head exploded.

 

I was dissapointed somewhat. Mosley started backing away early after feeling cottos power which made me think he broke his promise about not being afraid to exchange with him. Then likewise, cotto backed away late when finally shane came on, knowing he had it in the bag unless a freak ko happened. I dont blame Coto for that though. Still a pretty good tilt tho.

Close fight. One of the very best this year.

Warrants a rematch but might not be in Mosley's interest after all...

Cotto would pull away the second time around. Mosley will not be able to beat him.

I still want to see Mosley. He should still fight another 2-3 fights. I want him to go out on a high. He could still win and make some good money too, but not against Cotto.

 

Go look at the fight again study it and look objectively, hind sight being 2020 you will see things a bit differently.

 

It was an exciting fight pretty much all the way.

 

he is the 1st person to make cotto back up i think thats pretty aggressive.....

and for the fight the only reason i was dissapointed is bc mosley didnt get the w :-(
