Was anyone else disgusted at the Angulo/Tsurkan fight?

I was disgusted at the fight too. He was hurt badly by a bodyshot in the last round and the fight should have been stopped right there but the ref let it go on for another 50 seconds. It really should have been stopped in the 7th or 8th but the bodyshot he got hurt by should have been a sign to stop the fight.

 

A 40-point lead in football or basketball isn't likely to cause brain damage.

The guy was in there for a serious beating, he was obviously beaten by a better figher, he shouldn't be put at great risk to get damaged just for your amusement.

 

Zakman, is the ref stopping the fight not a natural conclusion? That's apart of boxing and is considered a technical knockout.

Modern American boxing fans are such pussies. In the old days - or even today in countries where there's still a little manhood left, like Mexico - fans would throw stuff into the ring when some squeamish ref stopped a fight early.

Fights should be stopped when somebody hits the canvas, or is OBVIOUSLY too hurt to continue, i.e. out on their feet. That was NOT the case in this fight.

 

The natural conclusion can lead to permanent injury or even death. In any sport where that can happen, you have to be merciful for the loser.

I agree with you, i that some fights are ended prematurely, but when theres a chance the guy could die and he has no chance...call it off. What's the point in letting them carry on?

 

Do you like watching football games after one team is leading by 40 points? Getting away from the health factor, I think one-sided beating are boring to watch. If it's not even going to be competitive what's the point? Where's the drama?

 

it went 2 rounds to long after the 8 it should have been stopped, the fight was not a massive fight at the top of the sport, So there was not a hell of alot at stake and it went way to long.

Fights shouldn't be stopped simply because they're one-sided. I just find it ludicrous to see boxing fans COMPLAINING about fights NOT being stopped.

You would not have heard this kind of whining back when I started following the sport. In fact, just the opposite.

ur cool buddy...with diaz going into a coma and guys getting killed u want to be joe tuffguy...the ****ing corner should be out of boxing and the ref should be suspended...tsukan gave it everything and was just a punching bag for 2 rds and they keep sending him out....there is NO reason he should have ben made to go out in the 8th or 9th rd...the corner guys are ****ing ******edatsch atsch

u wouldn't think they were exagerrating if he was permantly damaged for NO reason...even after the body shot in the 10th noone did anything unti he took about 7 more clean punches
