Was anyone else disgusted by Kovalev prolonging the Pascal beating?

I agree it can be part of selling the fight but if Pascal had been a gentlemen during the build up and Kovalev decided to put a prolonged beating on him I would have not liked that and would have felt sorry for him.

 

No Pascal deserved everything he got, hopefully Kovalev knocked that chip off his shoulder.

 

Personally I thought JDJ and Kovalev went above and beyond by not reacting to the shyte that Pascal was spouting.

 

This is boxing.

 

Andre is making a tactical choice to rile Kovalev up in hopes that his aggression makes him fight a sloppier fight.

We'll see if that works or not, but it's a bold move regardless.

 

When I heard Ward mention "I don't care what he has in his gloves" I thought that's not a good thing to say,maybe Ward thinks by winding him up Kovalev will lose it but he's not that kind of guy is he?Kovalev is calculated,if Roach hadn't of pulled Pascal out that night I dread to think what would have happened,Ward isn't as elusive as Mayweather and took shots against Barrera,if he takes too many off Kovalev he's finished.

 

I just think it's wrong to try and do something like he did knowing first hand the possible ramifications. What Pascal said doesn't matter, kovalev shouldn't take it upon himself to do something which would unnecessarily risk his opponents life.

 

I had no problem with it at all.
Pascal willingly took the rematch, and chose to disrespect Kova knowing the pain he had already dished out on him in the first bout.
Then his corner and the referee let it happen too...

Guy is anti racist but it is fine for him to give JDJ a banana at a press conference and call him Uncle Tom, race traitor for training Kovalev. I do not give a damn about Pascal and neither should any of you. He got over 4 million to fight Kovalev twice and has access to excellent medical treatment. Why worry about him, he is not concerned with any of you, guaranteed.

 

i disagree mate. kovalev was strolling his way to A shut out. yeh 12-0 baby! then hopkins didnt pay the respect after being rocked. and hopkins has always been an instigator which has bought him success, kovalev dont like that rubbish.

well hopkins was a 49year old fighting one the most dangerous boxers on the planet, now he faces another decent puncher in smith. it wont be early the way bernard is going lol
