Was anyone else disgusted by Kovalev prolonging the Pascal beating?

I dont know bro. I respect his fighting ability immensely, he's gonna destroy Ward. But there's something not right about him. Even when he tries to feign a smile or act cool. There's evil there. I know you sense it. I think you like it

 

Difference is Tyson was a mental midget. Kovalev isn't. He is mentally strong and doesn't give a **** what happens to the opponent. Tyson talked like he didn't care but as we found out it was to hide his own insecurities. You won't ever see Kovalev quit in a fight like Tyson has (multiple times).

 

I honestly don't think Kovalev could put him down. Lennox teed off a few times and McCall didn't even flinch. Kovalev doesn't have that much power to put down McCall. I will say this it is going to be interesting when Kovalev lands the first solid power punch on Ward's Chin. You saw the look Hopkins gave when he was knocked down he wanted nothing after that and was content on losing every round and just surviving to avoid that power. Hopkins is a proud guy and for him to go in a shell and not try and win speaks volumes. He was just there to survive and didn't even try and hide it. Does Ward have the guts to do that? We will find out.

He tried to kill him for like two minutes in the last round and damn near did, inflicting more damaged to him in that sequence than Hopkins took in any fight previous.

 

He put a Calzaghe-esque whoopin on him for 11 rounds then tried to kill him in the 12th for sticking de tongue

 

Blood sport, complains about sadism.
Paid fighter, complains about doing his job.
Corner and Ref are meant to stop fights to avoid punishment.

Those are your main points of failure for your argument. Don't misplace blame on Kovalev when the corner AND the ref both have the power to stop fights.

 

Not really, it's combat sport. That's why you have a trustworthy corner, to pull you out if the beating is too prolonged.
