Was anyone else impressed by Taylor's performance?

I thought he did a great job against Lacy. He showed excellent defence (barely got hit by significant punches outside of the 5th round), his speed was very high, fluid combinations, footwork. He seemed to tire a bit in the later rounds, but ended strong in round 11 & 12. The only thing that he lacked was big end power, but he did have Pavlik in worse trouble than anyone else ever had.

Very good fight to watch. Lacy as always showed great heart, but took a pretty big beating.

Looking forward to see Jermain fight Kessler, Bute, Andrade, Mundine or any of the other big guns at 168.

 

I think Taylor v. Pavlik 3 woud be a good fight now Talyor is on his way back up and Pavlik has been brought down a peg.

 

i enjoyed the fight. love taylors fluidity and happy with his defence improvements.

 

Wasn't impressed at all really he has some good moments but seems to go missing and hold a lot.

He put together some impressive combos but Lacy is just a punching bag with muscles.

Taylor probably looked the best he ever has, given everything. He was actually using his jab, showing defense, and even looked fluid at times. He also showed experience in coming back from what happened in Round 5 without letting it ruin him for the fight.

 

i thought he looked a little rusty and ima huge taylor fan

i mean it was an okay performance but he's scared to really let loose on his punches b/c of tiring out...i think he would be a hell of a fighter if he had even just a lil bit more stamina


i guess im just a hard fan

 

Taylor set out to do what he wanted to do in this fight. That counts for something. He wanted decent money coming off of two losses and he wanted a dangerous opponent. I think the biggest disappointment is that he doesn't use his speed to 'full effect'.
