Was anyone else pissed when VITALI retired, and then cancels his comeback fights?

Vitali was a big draw here in cali and was just building up even bigger his venue was staples center and the arena was packed and exciting especially when he fought lennox and corrie sanders pure action.

It is a shame about vitali retiring cause he was very active it was like watching a welterweight in there he would throw lots of combos and 1-2 punches.

I was getting hyped and he has announced a comeback like 3 times and then canceled almost last minute on the first comeback and then the others.

Vitali was the most exciting heavyweight unlike his brother he had better stamina, style and a better chin with some crazy awkward power.

Yes, he used to be one of my favorite fighters in 03-04, but since then he has made the WBC belt almost as lame as the WBO. He ****ed fighters like Rahman, McCline, and Maskaev around by cancelling fights at the last second and being ******* at contract signings. He was a good exciting Heavyweight when he fought, but over the last 3 years has become part of the Heavyweight problem, not the solution.

At one time I was interensted in Vitaly's comeback.

At one time Vitaly was the #1 heavyweight in the world.

At one time I cared about watching Vitali.

Now I wish he would just go away and let those who want to fight do so.

Quit trying to hold up unification bouts.

Good post. A healthy Vitali would have been good for the division but he messed Rahman around then did the right the thing for the division only to renage on that & cloud the picture again. A selfish act given it was obvious his injuries were long term ones.

Whats the latest with this guy? Is he still trying to come back? I don't believe I have heard of anything but its hard to follow because I've lost track after his 8th injury.

If someone gets hurt before the Peter/Maskaev fight he is supposed to take either ones place, I also heard he gets to fight the winner of Peter/Maskaev, which I hope Don King has something to say about that, Vitali doesnt deserve the opertunity after sitting on his ass for 3 years doing nothing.

Too right. If he does get the fight I hope he gets destroyed. Especially if Wlad keeps winning because selfish Vitali would stop us having an undisputed champ.

It's hard to get excited about someone that gets injuried as much as he does.

You'll see him in the ring again - but it will be him supporting his brother at his next fight. I doubt if this guy fights again.

Exactly, many of the Klit nuthuggers think it would be a great thing having two brothers as Heavyweight champs, the bad thing about this they dont seem to understand is, Vitali has not made it through countless training camps, because of injuries. Thats say Vitali does happen to make it through a training camp and ends up fighting either Maskaev or Peter, and wins, we might end up having him hold the belt hostage for a year until he's forced to give it up by the WBC. The same thing happend last time, he held the belt hostage from Dec of 04 till Dec of 05, which led to his retirement after he couldnt defend the belt because of injuries.

Again very true. Plus they have both catergorically stated they would never fight each other so whilst it may be great for the Klitschko fanatics having the two brothers sharing the belts it wont be for the rest of us who want to see an undisputed heavyweight champion. Whoever it is.

Dude should just pack it in @ this time. If he somehow manages to fenagle a championship fight, and has anything left, he could win it. Then, he'd probably retire being champ.

To be honest with you, I actually see Vitali pulling it together enough to fight for a title, especially if Maskeav ends up winning. I just hope Don King and company prevent this from happening, his injuries and postponements will effect the already troubled Heavyweight divsion, his failed comeback attempts have done enough damage already IMO.
