Was Arum cashing out on Pac when he threw him to the De La Hoya fight?

He knows he's been proven wrong. Don't expect any rational replies....

I honestly think Arum thought he was cashing out his chips with Pac. Thinking "well, this little guy has come as far as he ever will, not going to make anymore money than a DLH fight with him, might as well cash out on top".

Pac is a come forward aggressive fighter, weren't most of us thinking that a solid left hook from DLH and Pac would be KTFO?

 

Pacquiao wanted the fight, Arum made it knowing the reward would be great if Pac somehow pulled it off and that he'd likely still be the same draw he was before had he lost, provided he didn't suffer a career ending beating. Roach was the one actually accused of trying to cash out on Pac when he began publicly pushing for Pac to seek fights with De La Hoya, Cotto and Hatton when Pac was still at super-feather.

 

They were always picking the bigger guy to win until after the cotto fight. Then most couldnt see pac losing
