Was Barrera out of prime, or were Pac and JMM just better?

Morales imo was more adaptable to deal with different styles.
Morales was a better technical boxer than MAB....imo he could have made it alot easier on himself in his fights with MAB had he chosen to rely more on boxing from a distance.

As it was, they went to War three times and in reality I dont put much credence in the official results.....each fight but the 2nd imo ( I thought Morales clearly won) could have gone either way.

This is how I was the trilogy.....
MAB won the rist fight....
Morales won the 2nd.....
...and the third was a draw on my scorecard!

Morales and MAB have just the fight styles and attitudes toward eachother to make each an everytime they fight a classic.....
If they fought 100 times they's split them down the middle with a few draws along the way.

....but as I said, I rate Morales higher because imo Morales was a better boxer who adapted better to different styles!

 

If we talk about FANTASY world of "If" , " would have " or "could have" anything you want to say is possible. Even if you say, if mab fought pacman earlier... if Hamed fought.... it would have... SINCE IT NEVER HAPPENED AND ITS LIKE A FANSTASY IDEA, YOU CAN JUSTIFY ANYTHING and YOU COULD EVEN BELIEVE IN YOUR ANALYSIS.

pac would have been floored if he fought mab in his prime.. if you like you can even imagine that pac was demolished in round 1, you can imagine it was pac who kissed the canvass 3 times when he fought jmm. Moreles could have had 2-1 vs pac if .... Like I said these are ALL FANTASY's which never happened.

As far as I am concerned, Barrera was at the pinnacle of his career when Pac beaten him.

However the Barrera who fought JMM/Pac in the recent months was clearly a faded version.

 

I would say that he was out of his prime. The trilogy with Morales destroyed both their primes.

You can't do it that way. MAB took 2 out of 3 from EM, but I think EM would take about 8 out of 10 against Pac Prime for Prime :deal

 

MAB took 2 razor thin, highly disputed win out of 3 from EM. :roll:

EM narrowly beat a badly cut Pac who was deprived of his choice of gloves. :roll: Scores were 115-113.

Pac is just better.

 

Pac beats Mab every time, the Mab that showed up against Hamed still wouldnt be able to beat Pac.

Just look at the 2nd fight, Mab did the same thing but Pac wasnt stupid and try to force anything or lunge like a dumbass like Hamed did, Mab beat Hamed by taking advantage of Hamed's mistakes.

As for Mab and JMM its evenly split prime for prime.

 

People fail to realize that MAB gradually mutated his style as his grew older. In the Tapia fight it was evident that he no longer would posses the agression he once used that made him such a star. He had every oppurtunity to KO Tapia because he was faster, bigger, stronger and more skilled but was reluctnat to go all out.

If you watch earlier Barrera fights he was a demon with power and agression who fought from any angle, pressing forward or stepping back unleasing punch after punch overwhelming and punishing his opponents.

Against Pac he wasn't that type of fighter anymore, aside having the Big Bear fire distraction and his injured thumb, he was also not the same Barrera who had fought Morales and Hamed. He was slower, more hesitant, and lacked that killer's instinct.

 

In is prime MAB wouls surely have beaten JMM.

Morales-Barrera should do it one more time.

Barrera was still in his prime when he first fought Pac but already out of his old self in the second, Marco wouldn't beat a Pac, prime or not. A prime Barrera would easily beat a better JMM.
