Your boy might have won a close decision, but Hopkins landed ALL the meaningful punches of the fight and did the only damage of the fight. Calzaghe simply threw more "slaps" that caught the attention of the crowd and judges similar to SRL flurries against Hagler, doing no real damage, just fluff punches....

Same guy vs. Wright and Tarver, but don't give Calzaghe any credit for adjusting and putting it at his pace after round 4 and landing a good bit of work himself, matching Hopkins in the rough housing department and controlling the match for wearing him out late....

    ;)

And if you think Joe's prime, think again.

no it wasn't an impressive performance by any means but it was more impressive than Joe's. Hopkins is a more skilled technician than Joe but Joe was the better man.

The difference from the Hopkins last night and the Hopkins in the other fights was that Hopkins had the stamina to finish. He wasn't gased. That is the difference. His mind was willing but the body was not. Simple as that.

The reason he was tired was because JC made him tired with his busyness. JC dominated a prime BHOP last night.

Calzaghe is definitely Prime or quite close to prime. Coming into this fight, he had his best performances of his career against Lacy and Kessler.

He didn't wear out Hopkins, Hopkins is an OLD man, that's indisputable, he's 43.

Agree..........age just caught up with BHop, you could see him fade as the rounds wore on. Pavlik would be a great fight to see........

And just like we all told you, Joe WILL make him work for every single second, unlike his previous opponents. Just like we told you Tarver was also an old man, who did not test his stamina. Just like we told you Wright is a flabby blown up light middle, who had neither the strength nor conditioning to test Hopkins late on

You really think Hopkins just 'got old' in this fight, aged 43? It's just a coincidence he runs out of gas against the best opponent he faced sine Jones?

No, he's been old for a long time. Unfortunately people can't accept their analysis is shitty, and are now suddenly bringing it up to cover their ass

He ran out of gas because jc kept on him non stop. When the ref broke them up jc kept coming the second he had the chance. He made bhop fight at a higher output then he would wanted. He couldnt control the pace of the fight after jc found a way to land.

WOW. You consider a 43 yr old Hopkins prime...HAHAHAHA....So is RJJ still prime? How about Eubanks when Calzaghe fought him? Or Foreman at 44?

 I guess if you believe that, you believe in Santa Claus.

Hopkins did the same thing he did against Winky and that was move for 12 rounds. Yet, he was as fresh as a daisy in that one.

Hopkins is old. He's 43, 7 years older than Calzaghe, how can you not see that. AND the 43 yr old was the one landing the only punches that mattered. Calzaghe won a close fight soley on throwing more punches that were ineffective flurries. Most ringside observers had it 114-113 Hopkins.

I know its hard to take but JC landed more punches on BHOP than any other fighter in BHOP legendary career. BHOP was tired because he could not live with JC workrate.

Congratulations jackass, I've already said Hopkins is old

The only thing I take issue with is the people that think Hopkins suddenly 'got old' last night

The people that ask when Hopkins got tired in the championship rounds can presumably tell me the last time he fought somebody like Joe Calzaghe, who makes him work for every second?

Nope, this is bull**** from people who got their prediction WRONG.
