Was Byrd Outboxing Vitali before the arm injury?

    i thought vitali quit,i good mate who had the same injury tells me he never.there,s no way he could fight on.vitai was winning with ease.byrd can never beat those guys

    Seriously, he had a surgery and there was most likely a time limit in the contract.

    ok so what part of the fight did he tear his rotator cuff? why is he still throwing hard left hands up until the last round?
    why did he mysteriously quit as soon as Byrd starts to apply pressure?

    Vitali was winning but mostly because of his activity. He landed his Sunday punch on Bryd several times and Bryd didn't even flinch. On top of that Bryd's head movement was on another level that night. He made Vitali miss a lot of punches. I've never seen Vitali miss that many shots before. Bryd was coming on after the 5th round and started tagging Vitali with his left.
    Decent scrap but not the ass kicking most people tend to make it out to be. Vitali was winning but it was a far cry from utter domination.

    vitali was winning, but byrd was coming on strong. maybe it is due tothe injury, maybe it was his game plan. we will never know because vitali wouldnt fight on.

    either way the way byrd came forward in the latter rounds is brilliant considering the size differential
