was calzaghe beatable ?

I like Ward mate but he still ain't the finished article , I would love to see Andre fight Lucian as I would also like to see him rematch Mikkel Kessler , he surprised Kessler that night Kessler has the ability to beat Ward still I reckon , it's looking like Bute is fighting Froch twice early next year so it could open the rematch door .

Not a big fan of Froch myself, but respect the fact he is willing to back up his talk and always looking to take a step forward.

Reminds me of Darch in a way. Both have styles that are a little unorthodox, but effective. But both styles are incredibly vunerable to slick counter punchers

 

Yep and switching trainer after that defeat to Ward over to Montoya ain't going to hurt him either .

SOX , Kessler is down to fight Steglitz in April next year for the WBO title if Ward then attempts to unify then he will have to fight Bute (IBF) and probably Kessler for the WBO titles

I'll get on the Kessler train if he fights Ward again, not that I dislike Ward, but I've always liked Kessler.

 

see thats disappointing. Ward more or less cleans out the division bar Bute and Bute fights Froch :-(

Agreed if he fought and beat Bute he would have cleaned house , Ward didn't answer the Bute question when asked Sunday morning he skirted around it so he must have known the Froch / Bute fights were on beforehand .

 

Calzaghe was much further over the hill than Hopkins. Anyone saying otherwise doesn't know a thing about Calzaghe.

 

I think Kessler still gas a decent few fights left in him Beaver and having Jimmy in his corner will polish his talent , they have had a while working together now and it will be interesting to see if Mikkel has learnt anything new . Stegliz ain't the most exciting fighter either and after watching him labour to to a points win a few years ago I really can't see how he won a portion of the title .

How is age catching up with Kessler, he's 2 years younger than Froch?

I don't see Froch ever beating Kessler.
I can also see both Kessler and Froch beating Bute.

I think the only fighter he may not be able to topple is Ward, and he even has a good chance at that.

 

calzhaghehehehe was a slapper. lucky he paid off all the ringside judges, to score his slaps as punches with the knuckle part of the glove. otherwise, he would have been soundly beaten in most of his boring fights......
