in all seriousness how much do you think roy had declined by the time he fought jc ?? even now hes still fast and powerful when he fought jc moreso.its his chin that haslet him down in recent years, nothing else.and the 1 sided manor joe done it in suggests he wuld have beaten him b4.dont forget joe was no spring chicken either

Madmanc, you clearly have no boxing knowledge whatsoever if you really think that! I knew u where a limited troll, and ur a bit of fun, I hope ur just trolling and not really that DUmb?

Roy was never the same after his heavyweight fight, and though your right his hands where still quick when he fought jo (he even still has some hand speed now) he had lost his legs and evasion. Prime roy would not have even been touched by slapphappy, and if you think otherwise you would be the only one in the world! It is for a reason that people with remember RJJ as an ATG, one of a kind, someone that prime was unbeatable and could not be touched. And it is also right that Calzaghe will be remembered as good, not great, and no where near RJJ on the atg list

i suppose hopkins will go down as greater than him ang he was way past his prime also ? calzaghe is far more than good.he fought 75% of his career with ****ed up hands so he couldnt throw big punches.so before you come with that **** jones legs had gone . calzaghe fought his whole champuonship reign with bad hands and still never lost.as for jones win vs ruiz...why fight ruiz and not the actual recognised champion.jc would have schooled ruiz also

He was well matched and never beat a truly great fighter at their peak. it was not all his fault though he bears some responsibility.

How good was Calzaghe? So good pundits are still discussing his 46 -0 achievement in this thread, which has now been alive for SEVEN MONTHS.

Was he beatable? Two fellas with baseball bats from behind, maybe.
In the ring, no one could beat him. Fact.

Calzaghe is what Messi is to soccer, only he became it without the use of growth hormones and didn't get recognition as 99.968% of boxing fans listen to what the American biased boxing media tell them (that Calzaghe is not the best boxer P4P there has ever been) rather than what common sense tells them.

Everyone is beatable but Calzaghe was possibly the most adaptable boxer I've ever seen...at least in my lifetime...what he did to Lacy for 12 nonstop rounds after all the talk that Lacy was the next Tyson and would KO Joe, and what he did to Kessler after 4 very close and competitve rounds, was sublime.

He had a great chin, great recuperative abilities, KO power until his hands became brittle, was possibly the fittest boxer in the whole MW division (meaning today's MW, SMW and LHW), had possibly the highest work rate of any boxer in said division and could change his game plan to adapt to his opponent in order to negate their strengths.
