I agree 100% Francis I ain't claiming Joe would have beaten a prime Roy Jones Jr infact i take his win over a **** Roy with a pinch of salt and this whopper idiot would notice this if he had the sense to read the entire thread , Roy fought his share of mail men also but prime for prime his record stacks up much better than Joes and would probably have beaten Joe , the one thing I can't get my head around is these **** heads coming on an international boxing website spouting all sorts of ignorant crap regarding decent pro fighters .

Yes I stand by that comment , Roy moved up to light heavy just after Joe beat Eubanks . I would ask you another question like WHO @ 168 lbs do you think would have beaten Joe at that weight but you ain't answered the three questions I asked you earlier , But that's what you do whenever your stumped aye ? Lmfao

That is just a lie. Hopkins came to spoil the fight and use dirty tactics.

To beat Calzaghe you would need some power to keep him off you, good skills to avoid the endless slaps that came your way and decent fitness.

A guy like Ezzard Charles when he could make that weight would beat JC.

u know the answer to that qu, are u trynna say the brits are better then aus?
i dont really care, but madman is here for some trollin, obviously im not going to give him a reasonable answer.

so wat are u asking me? joe been at 168 since 93, through that period there are quite a few i would say that would definitely beat him and others i think could beat him. why does it matter at such and such time (the time he would get squashed, which we already agreed on) jones moved here so joe couldnt get him? admit it he pussed out and w8ed to feast on the corpse.

or are u asking me me to choose from any prime smw at any time?

i do go over board baggin him and i think joe is a good fighter but he hardly deserves the rep you brits give him. iv never seen a fighter with that many controversial/ **** stoppages/ wins ranked so highly on a goat list.

No, I'd expect them to take the punters for mugs and take the fight while utilising the non-refundable part of the ticket sale.

Come to think of it just Name 5 of the "quiet a few "who beats him at the weight since it was formed up until the time he retired ? 5 shouldn't be so hard to name seeing as you think" quiet a few would " .

You are correct Josey in that from 1997 onwards no one would have beaten Calzaghe at 168 who was CURRENTLY fighting in that weight division. Roy Jones was the king of boxing in those days and had moved to 175. At the time Calzaghe just had the WBO belt (which at the time was like the current shitty IBO belt) and no one world wide really knew much of Calzaghe.

It was up to Calzaghe and Frank ****** to make the most of Joe's incredible talent by leaving home and seeker out the bigger names elsewhere and by calling them out constantly. Neither seemed to even try.

Once again I agree Francis if you note further back in the thread I stated Joe had a confidence problem that was coupled with injury and personal problems and could Defo have been more active in pursuing a unification bout but that all changed from the year 2002 when Joe's much publicised calling out of Bernard Hopkings ( he even agreed the thin end of the wedge ) and conceded home advantage to get Hopkings in the ring , post Kessler fight Joe's career means very little as he fought a guy in Hopkings that most knew he could beat anyway then you had him fighting the shell of RJJ just for a payday for the pair of them , Joe and Roy remain mates to this day apparently .
