Jeff Lacy was never on the P4P list

Matter of fact, Calzaghe never faced anyone on the P4P list other than P4P # 4 (43 year old) BHop in a fight he got floored and schooled

    P.S: :deal

Some weren't too bad. I can see why the ref might stop those.

Some were embarrassing for everyone associated.

realsoulja is clearly a Calzaghe hater and therefore his heart rules his head. Or are you just stupid?

A ref stops the fight when, in his opinon, one of the fighters has received a significant amount of punishment and cannot continue or is not going anywhere in the bout - it saves fighters from potentially serious damage. His decison will be influenced by previous rounds, knockdowns, the scorecards: basically the general performance of the fighters.

Calzaghe dominated his opponents prior to the stoppages - he was NEVER going to lose. His opponents were NEVER going to win.

A quick analysis of the footage you have posted:

    Mario Veit

What a feeble attempt to mock Calzaghe. You show the final 11 seconds of a fight in which Veit had been knocked at least TWICE and was dominated. When the final result was announced Veit himself raised Calzaghe hand and gestured that he was the man.

    Richie Woodhall

Woodhall had already been down in the previous round, he had blood coming from his nose, and clearly had nothing left. Even Woodhall knodded in acceptence when the stoppage was made.

Woodhall interviewed on Calzaghe: My Life Story 2008/09

" I made mistakes against Joe that I would have got away with against other fighters. But Joe being Joe, and as good as he is, he just PUNISHED me."

    Pat Lawlor

Come on guys! He ran from one of side of the ring to the other to escape from a beating.

Who's to say he wasn't saving up a energy to go all out?? Punching back means nothing to a stoppage, If he was alert, not hurt and slipping punches, he deserves a chance. He was all of those things..

Just because you are a fan of Calzaghe, doesn't mean you have to come to his defense with everything concerning him, including bad ref decisions that were not Joe's fault in the first place.

It is absurd to me to try and defend that stoppage. Totally early, anyone that can't see that would agree that shot Calzaghe beat a prime Jones.:yep

i remeber tching that fight it was a bad stoppage,

maybe if it was a few rounds later but not then i dont think there wasnt seeming to be much danger of him taking much danger of him recieving the kind of damage that would cause him much damage,

You have to give a fighter a chance to fight

Just dont get it twisted and presume Calzaghe was a KO artist, most of his KO wins (really TKO wins, he only had 2 KO wins out of the 32 KO's he got) most of his KO wins are from accumilation of slaps.

Wasn't the best stoppage but if you are going to stand there on the ropes absorbing punches whilst throwing nothing back then you can't really complain.

It doesn't matter anyway, Calzaghe would have stopped him at some point probably without even taking a punch.
