Both were amazing athletes (throwing 1000 punches a fight), despite being bigger than Pac, Pac's athleticism was better though (heavy heavy hands, and faster/more explosive p4p)

But who was more skilled in a boxing sense? Calzaghe's adaptation was amazing where as Pac was more of a plan A will get him/overwhelm him or bust. Obviously Pac fought better competition too you must factor that in.

Joe had a higher ring IQ but so does Jeff Horn.

Besides adaptation and recovery skills from being hurt - I dont see what else to give Joe over Pac.
Out of all the criteria - Pac wins pretty handily

Good points from the OP. Joe always adapted and found a way to win. But let’s give Manny some credit for evolving fight to fight.

i prefer watching paq than calzaghe / but calzaghe was so effective simply because he was such a hybrid fighter

he was a better brawler than the brawlers
    better spoiler than the spoilers
    better technician than the technicians
and his workrate and stamina were insane for a 168/175 fighter .

but half calzaghe`s fights were wasted on poor quality where paq had a seek and destroy attitude was smaller than his oppenents and was much more pleasing on the eye. v a high callbur of opposition

Floyd was the best fighter in the world around that time, and it's not close

Calzaghe is better than Pac though.
