Considering his size, no one comes close to his workrate.

Well it obviously did as he won the fight, landing a record amount of leather on Hopkins in the process.

I think there's some guys that match his workrate, but none of them that could, could match his talent.

    Naturally fit in what manner?

He had an excellent engine but I can name quite a few other fighters
that did as well, at his level, possibly top 5 or 10 however.

    Yup

And it was his insane cardio that won him the fight

Hopkins exhausted lying on the floor for FIVE MINUTES patheticallyfeigning a low blow as he couldnt Keep up with Zaggers relentless pace

This emoticon was designed entirely for Hopkins performance in the Calzaghe fight

His workrate was crazy and he was so fluid with his combinations, which is in my opinion, one of the most underrated things in boxing.

Take a look at prime pictures of Jack Johnson, Henry Armstrong, Ezzard Charles, Ray Robinson, and Sam Langford. Then ask that question again. And like I've said before, Young Peter Jackson looks ridiculously fit in those old photos.

Margarito was smaller but also threw hard punches for 12 rounds. Pacquiao at Featherweight was almost an unbelievable freak of nature with his conditioning. Look at him against Barrera. Though I admit that's easier to do when you're 126 pounds. He never stopped. Aaron Pryor against Arguello was incredible.

What these guys did though was throw power shots. Slappy punches don't sap your energy. Calzaghe was a slapper.

I agree until you said that slappy punches don't sap your energy.
I can tell you that even soft punches can drain you.

Well yea they drain you, but relatively speaking they do not. As in harder punches take more energy.
