Was Calzaghe's dispatching of Jeffrey Lacy one of the greatest/best wins of this era?

i'm supposedly not writing a fair post but, you agree with me on the circumstances surrounding Eubank? i don't know why i bother. also, YOU saying that to me has to be the most ridiculous thing i've ever read. the cheek of it.

Eubank was happy picking up big pay checks and being famous against mediocre opposition. not all of them, but mostly. he never called out the biggest names or had his team make offers to them.

i would ask if you remember all the **** that Benn went through to get the rematch with Eubank, but you haven't been watching boxing for that long so won't have a clue. just like you don't have a clue about boxing now.

Calzaghe didn't fight all those chumps through choice. but what's the point in arguing with someone who likes to put a slant on all he says. it's pointless and serves no purpose.

i never said that Showtime was ALWAYS happy did i. read properly please.

i said Calzaghe was an exciting fighter. not that he ALWAYS put on exciting fights. again, read properly please.

why don't you just log off and shut down your account?? you live in your own world anyway and see things through Loudon coloured sunglasses. you bring nothing but delusion, so what's the point?

i'm not going to point out yet again why you're wrong. you'll only come back with a load of nonsense anyway.

you're an Ego driven cretin who can't take being proved wrong, so you keep on doing this ****.

you and Loudon are two ****s in a pod with no worth. enjoy your Narcissistic ways.

i like the fact you believe i'm always foaming at the mouth, because i put a few exclamation marks. you're just a deluded little boy aren't you...

I agree with you on the Eubank points, but not on the things you said about Joe.

Your last paragraph is absolutely hilarious!

Ha! The irony there is unbelievable.

I think Loudon made a valid point about Joe not always wanting to fight tough fighters.. Joe said it himself..

I am not saying that was his mindset his entire career, but when you look at his record, and his statement, it is obvious there were times he was wanting to get paid to beat low risk fighters.

    Quite right.

I asked Andrew three questions, not yourself.

Your posts entertain me. I actually enjoy reading them for the outrageous things that you often write.

But you've got this idea that Joe's opponents from Eubank to Lacy only happened because Joe was a victim of circumstances etc. Which is complete rubbish.

    Tell it like it is.

Eubank was happy defending the WBO, and never chased big fights. He was honest and admitted as much.

For the most part, Joe did the same. He was content to fight in a weak division for the most part, against sub standard opposition.

It's not a coincidence that Joe fought the guys that he did. He was obviously happy to do what he did.

You said Eubank padded his record through choice, but Joe didn't.

But to be fair, Joe also padded his record through choice. He was happy to keep re-signing with Frank, and again, he was content to make a number of WBO defences against mainly subpar opposition.

Go and look at his resume.

    To the thread topic...

Jones win over Toney trounces Calzaghe's win over Lacy, and it was at 168 as well...

Toney was a proven undefeated fighter, that already racked up enough wins to be HOF material. And looked great before Jones beat him, and got fat and became world Champ at higher weights years after Jones beat him.

    Stop being silly.

I've already said that I made a mistake, and that you were right.

I said 'Quite right, I asked Andrew three questions, not yourself.'

You've just quoted where I've said that in post number 126.

Again, I made a mistake. :good

I honestly think there was a point where Joe felt fighting Roy would have been career suicide.. As Eubank admitted.
