Was Calzaghe's 'Fear of Failure' detrimental to his career?

This has been done to death. If you think Joe's totally blameless for the lack of recognition he has recieved during his career then there's no point discussing this with you.

 

it would be absurd to suggest that he is completly blameless, it isnt his style to run his mouth about how ´great` he is or how crap his opponent is. To suggest he is completly to blame is even more absurd

 

I'm actually bored of discussing it now. I've done it to death made some enemies but I think i've finally been able to summarise Calzaghe correctly.

A great fighter with an inflated, largely mediocre record.

What is you opinion? That he isn't a great fighter- or that his record is entirely mediocre? Because there is no argument other then that.
