Yes, its the blinkered fanboys trying to de-rail the thread with pictures because the truth is still to raw for them to face. For the time being i will continue to let them bury their heads in the sand.

No it shows how great champions can take illegal forearms in the face and fight through adversity. Don't be fooled by Roy knocklng out cab drivers whilst juiced to the eyeballs on steroids pal. You probably still go around thinking that Lance Armstrong is still the best cyclist of all time pal :rofl

How about we debate why you are completely feather fisted with zero punch resistance? Seriously pal, thats an awful combination to have

  7. Great thread pal. A real corker. You can't beat a bit of stirring boxing debate, and this thread delivers it in spades. Salutations. :deal:happy

Thanks GJE, I love to educate in my threads, too many posters are drenched in delusion with agenda driven pitter-patter. Hopefully my threads allow some of the blinkered fanboys to see the wood from the trees for the very 1st time :yep

In that case, my opinion is that both fighters were so faded by the time they fought that I don't read much into the bout. To be honest, when I look at old film, I think a prime Roy would have handled a prime Joe, but the reflexes and speed required to do so were long gone by the time the two faced.

Also, I found Roy to be an obnoxious guy and would have been perfectly happy had a decent version of Roy lost to Joe. Actually, I would have used the win to laugh at a guy I know who was a huge Roy fan and could be obnoxious himself.

It would have been a close fight for sure. I agree that Jones' counter punching could have gotten to Joe, but both are great fighters and come to win. I think would have done much better than James Toney against Jones

By Calzaghes own admission Roy was over the hill , as he stated a few years prior in an interview. Its easy to put on a masterclass against someone made of pudding.

And? Ward admitted Dawson would be weaker by having to make 168, it's even easier to put on a masterclass against a drained zombie :deal
