Was Carlos Baldomir the worst fighter to hold a Lineal Title?

    No. Douglas had the skill, he just didn't have the heart or desire. Watch Buster that night and he boxed beautifully, a truly great performance. I'm not calling Baldo the worst, but if you put those two fighters head to head on the night they won the belt... It's not even close, Baldo wouldn't have won a round and probably never made it to the 12th..

    I think Rahman, Briggs and Douglas would have all beaten Spinks

    He wasn't, he was a decent contender who'd fought for a title before. Baldomir was way lower than him. Leon Spinks is another, beat a well past it Ali, lost to him then lost as many as he won until he retired, including anyone halfway decent.
