:rofl Could you really blame Chavez? Poor Julio was in a state of disbelief.....he really did'nt think Randall was in his league..... ....and to be honest, Chavez was making a late charge after an atrociously slow start and the low blows called on Chavez were really borderline shots. Its a pity that Steele took points off, much less two points.....those deductions took Chavez out of his game.... I really do believe that under normal circumstances in a fight of that magnitude that Steele would not have taken the points off, but Steele imo was under intense pressure of having to live with the fans booing him for his stoppage ruling in the Chavez-Taylor fight. To me, the decision for Steele to take points away from Chavez against Randall was his attempt to put a bandaid on the rift between himself and the fans. I wont hold it too much against Steele, imo he was a great ref, but he was never the same great referee he was after the backlash he recieved for doing the right thing and stopping the Meldrick Taylor fight. Anyways Scientist, I dont believe Chavez told Richard Steele anything to him personally. What he said of Steele was to the camera after the fight when asked a question..... ....."Richard Steele es un **** you!":rofl :rofl
I think Chavez's blows were low, but they were unintentional, and whilst one point probably should have been docked, I think two was a little extreme. That said, I think you're right about Steele trying to compensate for the Taylor fight. But you know what they say: what the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away. Chavez got a little fortune on his side for the Taylor fight, and a little misfortune for the Randall fight.
