Was Chavez Sr a cheater?

    He is one of the best ever but was he a cheater? Did he cheat in certain fights with steroids, enhancements,...etc...

    I know he had some kind of drug problem a one point but it was overlooked.

    Yea the same drug problem guys like Sugar Ray Leonard and Pernell Whittaker among others had...Where they cheaters too??

    Just because his son was caught using diuretics that are known for being a masking agent for steroids and the WBC gave him a pass and he skipped several drug tests and his teams insisted not to have advanced drug tests creating suspicion around the Chavez name doesn't mean his daddy was a cheat too.

    After watching their american gold medalist get beaten to a pulp, i could see why many would throw out bull**** rumors like that.

    You think he didn't cheat once in his entire career? I dunno about that.


    Chavez when he lost to Frankie Randall made all the excuses under the sun and was going to sue the referee.

    What happened to his chin then? When he fought harder punchers who couldnt knock him down.

    I never mentioned Whitaker or SRL.

    I think he cheated atleast once in his career.

    How many boxers haven't made excuses when they lose? Making excuses when you lose is a novelty?

    He got cought with a perfect shot right on the button, it happens to the best of them.

    There is no legit reason to believe he cheated once, unless you're just a bitter ***** ass hater that is.

    I mentioned Leonard and Whitaker randomly as you just mentioned Chavez.

    Whitaker schooled Chavez. Randall put him down and isnt the hardest of punchers he faced. Sweet spot or not.

    If you watched all his fights, and watch how he changes in many of them fights from ordinary to great. It's a big change.

    Any decent fighter can beat the Roger Mayweathers of this world. Who was a good boxer and can give anyone a run for their money but he was never great.

    And back then he could get away with murder. Illegal hand wrapping and all sorts.

    Just like how Cassius Clay had his gloves cut against Henry Cooper after he was knocked down.

    No one really cared about it until years later when their was public outcry.
