You're not allowed to suggest that boxers might use illegal substances around here, despite it having just about the worst drug testing of pretty much any sport, and drugs being prevalent in the top level of nearly every other sport. People would prefer to bury their heads in the sand a believe boxing is immune to the things that drive athletes in other sports to use PEDS.
Have you seen bert sugar talk about the infamous cut wraps incident with ali and seen the footage? It brought him an extra 5 seconds...
No but I think there was some instances where Don King had a lot of influence on judging and reffing.
Just assume ALL athletes take advantage of what they can to maintain their form. (You will live longer)
What is it with you and bashing Mexicans? This is the second thread I see from you trying to bash on Mexican or Mexican American fighters. Why does it have to be a race thing? You can make a case like that for any race.
diuretics help athletes make weight since they help get rid of water in your system. i doubt he was using them to mask something else.
and was receiving a severe beat down at the same time. Taylor didn't respond, end of story, move on, nothing new here, next please! Chavez TKO12 Taylor
Taylor was beating Chavez and then Chavez KO'd him. Steele stopped the fight because Taylor could not let go of the ropes (he kept holding on to them during and after the count).
Taylor was putting on a great performance no doubt. But let's not discredit Chavez here. How do you think Taylor ended up with a busted orbital bone, and fractured ribs? Chavez just came out exhausted with a nick on the bridge of his nose. Taylor was destroyed that night and was never the same, regardless if you feel he should of won or not.
Why did Ali change from great to ordinary. He fought much better opponents than Leon Spinks, how was Leon beat him? Ali must have been on PEDS for his other fights, and just started forgetting to take them after the Thrilla or something... How about this you ****ing pathetic nimrod troll: try having 90 professional fights with pro fighters, including over a dozen world champions. Lets see how well you're taking punches in your 91st fight.
I think you mean kosher. Also Ali was not dropped by the three hardest punchers he faced ( liston, Foreman, shavers) but was dropped by Sonny banks. It happens. Also Roger Mayweather, while not a great fighter, was a world champion so he's not exactly a Tijuana cab driver.
There's worse things you can take than a punch to the face. What's that got to do with Ali. I'm not talking about him. I mentioned in the fight with Cooper his glove got cut after he got knocked down.
