obviously i was implying that he juiced for the Ruiz fight. I think it really provides the best explanation for everything.

No...it was a different kind of weight loss.

Jones weighed 193, Byrd weighed in over 220 at times.

Negative. If there body fat ratios were the same which would be likely there effects would be the same.

Jones weighed more than that by fight time. See my Sig for how he looked.

who made the claim it would make anyone a more skilled fighter? The bottom line that a lot of people want to deny is that steroids use (depending on what and how administered) can be helpful in virtually any sport, from cycling to bodybuilding. And coming off the juice too quickly can have disastrous side effects.

I dont like to sound like an arrogant tool but its ****ing annoying the crap that goes on around here. People bandie "opinions" around this forum as though there facts. Theres about 1% of forum members here that have any clue as to fitness and sports science. The rest just simply post to give there 2 pennys worth and 9 times out of 10 its horse****.

could have his first fight but not his 2nd ko loss to tarver third fight ko loss to glen johnson and then 4th fight with tarver(rubber match) you him or no one can blame all of those fights over 3 years because of weight loss. Many people drop down and do good or even great in many sports.

No what was evidence that weight loss got Roy stopped was Tarvers knock out over Roy:good Byrd getting knocked out had nothing to do with it.

Those guys were fat slobs with a ton of extra weight(FAT) Jones and Byrd were in shape and cut with the extra weight. Your example holds no water.

coming from 200 muscle down 2 175 in that time span killed RJ, and at the time of his life he did it.
If he was in his 20s or something to that effect his body probably couldve recovered a lil quicker.
But at that stage of his career that was just a detriment, and he didnt take it off and take time off to give his body time 2 adjust. He took off muscle and then on top of it he goes out and boxes ( and boxing is the most rigorous sport)
SO im sure that damn sure had 2 effect him
