I know many feel that Cotto was affected and drained which was the reason for the loss. I never thought that but I'm interested in seeing what the rest of ESB thinks?

    Thought?

boxing scene is where you can find the article if they don't show the link here.

No. Cotto was just an idiot and fought the wrong fight.
Had he boxed he could have won but he didnt. He went all out when he saw he was having success and got caught.

If he went toe to toe then he's an idiot, if he boxed and moved then he's a runner. How about he transforms into Chavez Jr./Sr., loads up his gloves, juices in some roids and still lose?, what will be the problem then?

He lost because he was overpowered early, then he tried to move and box but still Pacquiao was huring him. To make it short and nail you in the ass right where it doesn't help you sleep, he beat him because he's the better fighter.

I think it's really as simple as that. And that's no knock on Miguel b/c he's a great boxer in his own right. But when you talk about guys like Floyd and Manny they are in a league all their own.

phil landman (cotto's conditioning coach) told me cotto's weight was fine, they were properly hydrated, he thinks the problem was with the corner, apparently things didn't go too smooth with santiago.

You could see that a bit during the fight and in some of his training vids that were posted. The mit work of Santiago leaves A LOT of room for improvement. Hopefully Steward can mentor him. He was very young with a HUGE task to prepare Cotto for Manny.
