My mistake. He joined Cotto's team as a nutritionist/fitness expert.Still though..no business being his trainer for that fight. Evangelista was a trainer. Joe was the guy who held the mitts while Cotto punched them and moved around.

How do you know? How do you know that the necessary measures that Cotto and team took in order to make the weight didn't actually HELP miguel get into optimal shape? Cotto said he was phyically 100% and felt better than he did for the Josh fight.

And Cotto SUGGESTED himself to have the fight at 145. Manny is a small guy who moved up in weight and having a test like Cotto at 147 when he only had one fight there before against DLH wasn't really a great measuring stick to see how he could cope at that weight. After beating one of the best WW's he was comfortable he could hang with 147 lb fighters and he faught josh at 147.

Alot of times you don't even realize if you're effected or not. It's hard for fighter, and people in general, to notice. Their minds are so set, and they are so confident. Same reason why the fighter himself is the last to recognize he is completely shot

I agree with that in some cases but NOT for Miguel who is a dedicated professional. There are certain fighters who would get caught up in these kinds of situation where making weight or fighting past their primes for too long would happen. But with Miguel he's not taking any fight or putting himself in any situation where he's at a disadvantage. Miguel fights to win and he always comes in 100%. Even at 140! I just don't buy the whole excuse that fans come up with that he was drained when Cotto had good stamina EVEN After hitting the canvas. Which if you have ever boxed you know how your legs feel after getting rocked. Miguel's stamina was more impressive in his loss to Manny than it was agianst Shane. that's for sure.

I love how people think cotto could have jabbed his way to victory because of his early success . Yet there is footage showing in slow motion that pacman timed Cotto's jab early on and began countering his jab with a straight left thrown at the same time as the Jab.

But I don't really expect most people don't analyze boxing here , they Just either like or dislike a fighter for whatever reason.

Thankfully you are not like this Scar
