Was Cotto going to stop Marg if the fight continued?

I told to my friend during the 8 round look Cotto is in control he will step it up in the 10th round when he is not afraid to gas or get hurt. And he stepped it up in the end of the end of the 9th. He was going to KO him no doubt for me

 

No KO by either guy, if it went 12.

Cotto being so far ahead, if he gassed, could have held more, etc.

In 1st fight, Cotto could not breathe due to broken nose, and probable plaster.

And here, that eye I wrote months ago, would never be the same. There may be other injuries there now to Marg, we don't know yet.

 

Cotto was pushing Margarito around like a doll is what I saw. What happen with Margarito having an advantage at 153? It seem like his power wasnt there

I agree with you. But.... your people already lowered themselves when the national anthems came on. And they were also mocking margarito's wife. Not cool. But Mexicans can be the same, its a two way street.

 

First of all anyone saying Margo was going to stop Cotto is clueless and couldn't read a fight to save themselves, only one man looked like he could potentially be stopped in the last 3 rds and it was not Cotto.

The pattern of the last few rds was only leading to more damage to Margo and even a late stoppage win by Cotto otherwise a whitewash decision, there was no signs of the opposite happening like last time, apart from a couple middle rds where that thought crept in a little as Marg got a tiny bit of success, Cotto weathered it and was looking very strong down the stretch, where as Margo looked to be visibly wilting and getting a bit desperate.

 

Margarito has skinny weak legs...Cotto was mauling him and shoving him back like 5 feet...

Well that isnt certain but Cotto definitely started to look strong again in the 9th, any doubts or thoughts that Margo would get him late vanished for me, the body lanaguage of both men said it all Margo knew he wasn't getting the win by any means, be it stoppage or pts at that stage.

 

Agree. It's as if he took a round off 5-6 and in the 9th he was battering Margarito. THAT is what made the doctor say "**** it... Marg has no chance with is weak punches and ****** balance in the 9th..." DONE!
