He was stunned yes. But the ref stopped the action for a measly 3 seconds at best. Expect people to make a big deal about that.
He looked hurt, he sat up against the ropes like he was out on his feet waiting for Mosley but he had not been hit with a punch for about 10 seconds. It was weird but something definately wasn't right, and he wasn't baiting Mosley cause when Shane started turning up the heat Cotto did not respond until the ****ing ref stopped the action to wipe the canvas.
No need to make a big deal. Shane could have had uppercuts all night and in the 9th he let an golden egg slip by. Besides Cotto was still fatigued going into the 10th so what is the problem and I rooted for Shane by the way so I am not biased.
nah cotto was just switching it up .... he fought an excellent smart fight showed all sorts of things to shane....the jab the straight right hand were tagging shane all damn night and i mean clean He unleashed his body attack and he moved and countered and slipped punches effectively cotto showed shane a little bit of everything which was extremely smart you can't beat shane fighting in the same pattern for 12 rounds straight
It appeared to me that Cotto was definitly hurt, I dont think the stoppage was that big of a deal at all but there was definitly something wrong with Cotto.
You are right because when one fighter is hurt and the ref stops the action in the middle of the round it is a good thing for boxing.
Yes, he was hurt. Was that the round with the left hook to the body that had him retreating? I can't remember but in my notes I have 'Cotto hurt' for round 9.
I didnt see anything wrong with it. He stop the action. Had them clean. And the fight continued away thereafter. The ref did a great job by letting the fight continue while they were wiping off the canvas. Good job by the ref. :good
