Cotto aint a shitty boxer he just ate it. Yesterday proved boxing is still alive and very very competitive and that a fight can end at any point. Thank god it was a TKO cause a decision would have had people talking **** for years to come

Cotto may come back more formiddable than before.

A loss cuts both ways. It may fuel Cotto and having seen his demeanour i think it will.

    1. The fight was good for boxing. Respect for both fighters.

    2. Margarito was more responsible of making the fight an exciting one. Cotto didn't do what he was expected: brawl. Instead, many times he tried to imitate Mayweather (which I think was intelligent but wasn't what he was expected to do).

    3. If Cotto would have won, after an exciting fight like yestarday's, it would have been better for boxing. No doubt.

I just finished watchng the fight, I didn't get to see it last night and got a download today. I've had to stay off the forum and news sites all day to avoid seeing the result.

That was an absolute classic WW fight, unbelievable display from both fighters. Of course that was good for boxing.

This fight was a classic. High level, superior skills vs. a larger, more physical opponent. Lots of action and brutal punches. Even a casual fan would have been excited. Definitely good for boxing. Unlike DLH vs. FM.

This is great for boxing. And something the welters needed for a long time.

It also should put a little more shine on the Margarito-Williams clash from last summer.

Alright, let me make a stop here if I'm allowed to... If this was good for boxing? Cotto losing like many of us expected and predicted him to? Listen, I take Margarito's words after the Golden Johnson fight - I don't ask for respect, I DEMAND some respect right now! We heard too much BS and crap before this fight from Mayweather and Cotto fans... That there was no chance in hell Tony would beat him, et cetera...Now this is no good for boxing. We demand some justice and some apologies RIGHT NOW!

It's hard to say that a classic PR v. MEX war of attrition between 2 warriors who left it all in the ring is "bad for boxing". BUT I'm gonna say it! A victory for Cotto would have anchored his growing legacy setting the stage for bigger, high profile paydays like Oscar or Floyd. I think Floyd was crying at home watching millions fly out the window. I don't believe Floyd would have any interest in fighting Margarito. Not that he couldn't win, but if it doesn't make dollars, it doesn't make sense. Joe Public won't be clamoring to see DLH take on the still nameless Margarito. So yeah, in a way I think it is bad for business.

Actually they got me fooled and I lost all my Vcash betting on Cotto but I love Margo and Mexico. So if those cowards don't show up, at least let me apologize to guys like you Sir Aztek Warrior for not believing at the last moment.
