I won't name names, but a certain poster claimed with Dr. Pedro Diaz's training and with a guy testing his crap, urine and latic acid, Cotto wasn't properly conditioned? I beg to differ, but this guy may have a point :think
    What do you think?

Cotto didn't even train hard, his plan was to knock floyd out in 8 rounds, once the 8th was over the fight was, if cotto had trained for the 9th round KO he would have won.

Stop being so butthurt, floyd won in the end *****s.

Yes he was. He was getting hit with right hands to the body all night on the inside and that takes its toll on you. It is an insult to him to say he would have won had he not gassed. He was in great shape and fought his ass off. He just lost to the better man.

As conditioned as he could be fighting as big a name as floyd is, but you can't change your damn genetics. The guy fades late like clockwork.

His entire training camp was based off of him being properly conditioned for the fight...they didn't work much on power in this camp...it looked they wanted Cotto to be able to fatigue alot, and still keep his coordination. Yes he was very conditioned for this fight and he was able to eat full meals the week of the fight.

Yes, he normally fades and goes to **** arund the 6-7th, he still looked strong then, infact the middle rounds is where he seemed to come on, instead of tire.

The 6th, and the 8th were the rounds I gave him. The 7th was probably his next best round.

Definite yes. Diaz pulled all the stops I was impressed

a guy can gas off many things. Nervous tension, inefficient work in the ring/technique, etc etc

The pace was'nt really what I would call slow.
The fight was fought at a fair pace and whenever Cotto wanted a lull in the action, Mayweather would'nt let it happen and took the fight to him.

Thats whats called studying and knowing your opponents weaknesses, and Mayweather knew he's just a better conditioned athlete period.

But as for Cotto, he fought hard and never looked to be about to wilt.
He was in as good a physical cardio condition as I've ever seen him.
So imo yes, Cotto was in great shape.

If you gas out after 8 rounds of a fight where your throwing an average of 30-40 punches a round, then no your not properly conditioned to win the fight, especially when your fighting Floyd Mayweather.

Cotto has fought at a higher pace, with more intensity in previous fights and didn't looked totally spent after 8 rounds,

Cotto clearly lost steam in the fight towards the end. He always does though, but like its been said before he definitely had fought at a much higher pace than this before, but it had to be hard work keeping Mayweathers output down (lowest number of connected punches as well as percentage ive seen from him in a long time) and to be missing so many shots behind Floyds sholder roll
