There have been so many threads stating in one way or another that Cotto was hurt against Mosley. Is this because he was fighting off the back foot for the last few rounds? In previous fights even the Judah fight you could tell when Cotto was stunned, but I really never saw any indication that he was hurt or stunned in the Judah fight. I don't believe that he was hurt in the Mosley fight. If anyone has clips/vids to prove otherwise then feel free to post them.
I NEVER saw his legs buckle or wobble against Mosley. Mosley was coming on strong in the 10th round, but Cotto still had his composure and awareness. He was just moving off of the backfoot.
Cotto said himself that he was troubled by a shot late on but alot of Cotto haters try and make out as though he was out on his feet. Cotto vs Mosley was a good fight which was a close but CLEAR victory to Cotto.
This is the sequence that gets talked about most... This content is protected According to a lot of posters here, Cotto was on the verge of going down and the referee saved him.
I never saw Mosley hurt Cotto, but if he did, Cotto did a marvelous job of hiding it. Cotto was hurt against Judah for sure, but he was never in trouble against Mosley, which is extremely impressive. I thought Mosley hit just as hard as Judah at Welterweight.
Cotto seemed to be hurt from a left hook to the body in either round 10 or 11. He recovered well. As for Cotto boxing on the backfoot, Cotto has ALWAYS been a fighter who can attack or box on the backfoot or use lateral movement. A lot of the clowns on this board started watching boxing last year, so they figured Cotto boxing on the backfoot must have meant that he was badly hurt.
Cotto had his problems with mosley in the later rounds, but to say he way hurt, I didn't see that. Not like against Judah. he was visably shaken by some of those uppers.
