This is prob for the 60+ .
Luis Rodriguez : he came over in the early 70s to " fight " our own Bunny Sterling ( vastly underrated ) cant tell you how much I was looking forward to seeing him fight, oh dear :( what a huge disappointment he was, up until then we in UK had hardly seen any of the champs, unlike today, in them days 68 to 72 ish all we had to decipher how good a fighter was came by way of Boxing News, if we were lucky we might get to see a title fight on Saturdays Grandstand ( saw Napoles v Lewis 1 ) other than that nadder, nothing, nix, only the written word.
The fight was a stinker, Luis couldn't or wouldn't engage, he fought out of a strange stance, with his backside sticking so far out, you could place a row of books on it, slow, awkward, and very lacklustre, to think of all the great fighters he fought and beat, sad day for me and for the paying fans, to quote Bob Hope " thanks for the memories " shame real shame. stay safe guys.
