I thought a draw was fair, good fight shame it doesn't look like we will get a rematch due to Badou Jack moving up in weight.

Scoring by each round like how it is done I had DeGale 7 rounds to 5 but could see 6-6. However if I were to look at the fight as a single round and asked myself would I rather be Jack or DeGale I would pick Jack. Good draw in my opinion.

Fights like this highlight how well one can concentrate on the action. De La Hoya used to steal rounds with last second flurries but the punches have got to land.

Jack's tight guard and cleaner punching won this one by at least a couple of points. Close but clear.

Chunky had built up a big lead in the first half of the fight, as I suspected would be the case but, yeah, your boy came on strong and I thought the last round might have swung it for him. But it didn't swing it enough in the eyes of all three judges, none of whom gave the fight to Jack. And as Ward vs Kovalev showed, that's what counts.

What I would add, though, had that fight happened in the UK it would have be given to DeGale, and the fact a British fighter can fly out to the US and get the benefit of a close decision, credits that overseas fighters can get a fair crack of the whip...

Thought jack won. But a draw is not a loss. This is not Kovalev vs Ward level of egregious decision.

Looks as though Jack stuck to his game plan, just bsic fundamental boxing IMO thats all is needed to beat Degale.
Degale is very overated, Jack won clearly & would do again in...not sure Jack would beat an on form Groves again though...he is too square on & limited, but has good balance.

Being a Groves fan I disliked Degale before this fight but afterwards I have new found respect for him, they both deserve praise for a terrific fight
That being said I had Jack up by 2

I'm going to rewatch the fight later, and see if anything changes.

    wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt??????????????????????????????????????

There is no possible way to score Ward over Kovalev.

Not by any, ANY fukking criteria.
The only two possible ways to give Ward a W over Kovalev is if you DKSAB, or hate Kovalev/drink Wards' semen.

Kovalev 1, 2, 3(Ward still alive, but no possible way to give him the rd) 4(more of the same) 5 (bout ripped Wards ear off his head) 6, (more of the same, Ward only landing the occasional counter, the occasional hook or R hand and did nothing else except tie up and tap Sergey on the hip or behind his head). 10, (Sergey counters Ward very effectively, and hurts him after Ward tries to showboat.) 12, (both throw solid jabs and power shots but Sergey wins both the battles on the inside and the outside.)
Ward 7(razor thin, nicked it) 8 (razor thin, nicked it), 9 (razor thin, nicked it) 11, (if Ward fought like this from the 1st rd, there could be an argument he'd won the the fight.)

The Jack Degale fight was fffffffffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrm closer if you take KSAB scoring into consideration. ]
While Jack dominated the fight IMO, since the rds he won he dominated in, it was the rds he let slip away by letting DeGale drill him with L hands and potshot the pi55 outta him with the jab.
The fight is scored rd by rd, and only b/c of this, DeGale retained his title.

As for being robbed......nah.......as this message boards lone surviving Bute fan, I can say with 100% certainty that Jack was robbed. Nearly as bad as the LHW Champion was by the wannabe demigod.
