Last night i red somewere that dempsey was really left handed,wich would explain his freakishly powerful left hook.Like many other converted lefties they have powerfull left hooks like oscar and i think i remb. jeffries was.also. Vise verso like hagler naturally right handed but fought southpaw had an awsome right hook.Anyways im very curious and if u CAN include the documents it would be awsome.
well i'd like to say that at the turn of the century and before, being left handed was a mark of somthing wrong or not normal. so if you were left handed you wouldnt want many people to know abou tit. people changhed hands and wrote with there right hand. also dempsey wasnt schooled i belive, so he might not of known about being left handed if you dont have to write. he learnt to wite later which by then he was a boxer so...yeah my 2 pence. there were southpaws and left handers but it was more of a oddity not an advantage. lew tendler i think made being southpaw an advantage and a more useful tool for fighters.
